1. Born 1980 in Yokohama Japan, Chef Seita Nakahara spent his growing up years in Singapore.

He eventually fulfilled his dreams to open Terra Tokyo Italian on Jan 2016.

He had a great vision of a no menu restaurant, he innovatively creates unique gastronomic experiences for his valued customers each visit by never repeating any dish twice!

2. After his return from Taiwan being a Pancake Chef for 3 months, he took on a job as a dishwasher in an Italian Restaurant in the swanky high class Hotel New Otani Tokyo for 1 year.

Chef Seita Nakahara then moved to a Shinjuku Restaurant for 3 years where he got scolded daily by the Head Chef! Through determination and perseverance, he picked up onion cutting skills that impressed the head chef!

3. Italian language barrier aside, he bravely travelled to Italy alone to work at Florence’s famous Castello Grinzane Cavour Castle in 2002 mastering the rare skill of finding good Alba white truffles.

Next, Chef Seita Nakahara left to work at Dulcis Vitis where he learned to make homemade tomato sauce from the head chef for 1 year!

4. Chef Seita Nakahara finally returned to Singapore in 2009, he couldn’t have a job at Basilico due to work permit issues.

Regent Hotel’s Basilico Boss introduced him to French Restaurant Owner and Chef Nicolas Joanny’s Alba Italian Restaurant at Keong Siak as Executive Chef, making it famous for his Japanese Italian Omakase!

5. After 1 year working at Alba, Chef Seita Nakahara joined Enoteca L’Operetta Restaurant for 4 years opened by his regular Japanese Customer from Alba!

He strucked a deal of 3 conditions with this boss before accepting his offer:
1) To buy over Alba.
2) Hire his Alba team.
3) To be the Head Chef.
